Lanark Utd 3 - 1 Lesmahagow Juniors (6/8/08)
A second defeat in little over a week to Lanark saw Lesmahagow's league cup campaign get off to a loosing start at Moor Park. Finding themselves three down again at halftime, this time the Gow rallied early in the second half and scored through Johnny Logan, who poked the ball through Thomson's legs from a headed knockdown. The ball was in the home net again minutes later, but the goal was ruled out for an unknown infringement and Lanark ultimately held out for the three points.
Sectional League Cup kicks off (2/8/08)
Lesmahagow open their Sectional League Cup campaign with another trip to face Lanark Utd on Wednesday night (6th August). Kick off at Moor Park is 7pm.
Lanark Utd 8 - 0 Lesmahagow Juniors (29/07/08)
Lesmahagow were denied a place in the final of the Clydesdale Cup by an emphatic Lanark victory. Three down at the interval, Gow's only bright spot in the match came from a Johnny Logan shot that came back off the inside of the post to safety. To add to Gow's woes, defender Andy Brown and midfielder Scott McGeachie were both taken off in the first half due to injury while a second half red card saw the team reduced to ten men for the remainder of the match.
Clydesdale Cup Semi-Final (28/07/08)
Lesmahagow get the competitive action underway this season with an away trip to Superleague newcomers Lanark Utd tomorrow night (29th July). Kick Off at Moor Park is 7pm.
Gow win Lugar Tournament (28/07/08)
Lesmahagow won the Lugar Tournament on penalties on Sunday after a 1-1 draw with Shotts Bon Accord. New signing Scott McGeachie scored the for the Gow.
Opening league fixtures (26/07/08)
Details of the opening four league matches are now on the Fixtures page. Gow open their campaign with an away trip to St Anthony's on 13th September.
Gow reach final of Lugar Tournament (26/07/08)
Lesmahagow progressed to the final of the Lugar Tournament after beating hosts Lugar Boswell Thistle on penalties after a 2-2 draw. Both goals came in the first half from through balls, with Johnny Logan rounding the keeper for the first and then lobbing home the second.
The final, against either Maybole or Shotts Bon Accord, will be played on Sunday 27th July.
